Gravel

Gravel is an aggregation of rock fragments that is classified according to particle size. It is a versatile material that will meet many of your needs for your landscape, drainage or pathway.

Types of Gravel and River Stone

Available in bulk and 30 kg bags
Stone dust used for levelling of paving stones, patio blocks, flagstone and creating garden paths.

Stone Dust

Used for levelling of paving stones, patio blocks, flagstone and creating garden paths.

¼ "

Used for flat roof tops, walking paths and small drainage requirements. Can be used in dog runs (along with pea gravel).

½″ and ¾″

Excellent for all drainage projects, foundations, footings, window wells and mixing with cement.

Gravel 3/4 is used as the first level of compaction under any type of asphalt, paving stone, patio stone.

0 - ¾″

Used as the first level of compaction under any type of asphalt, Paving stone, Patio stone and any project where a solid base is needed while allowing some natural drainage. Is usually topped with stone dust.

Gravel Calculations

How to calculate how much you need delivered:

Multiply the area in square feet by depth of needed stones in inches divided by 12. Next, divide the total in cubic feet by 20 to get the number of cubic yards to order.

Example: 30 feet long x 10 feet wide x 3 inches deep ÷ 12 = 75 ft3 ÷ 20 = 3.75 tons to get delivered!
